Young Women in Public Affairs Award
Recognizing young women for their commitment to volunteerism, volunteer leadership achievements, and dedication to empowering women worldwide. The local award is $500, with an opportunity to receive more awards at the district and international levels.
Women, aged 16-19 on 1 April each year, studying at a secondary school, college, or university in a Zonta district/region, or who are studying elsewhere but are citizens of a Zonta country, who demonstrate evidence of the following, are eligible to apply.
Active commitment to volunteerism.
Experience in local government, student government, or workplace leadership (paid or unpaid).
Volunteer leadership achievements.
Knowledge of Zonta International and its programs.
Support Zonta International's mission of empowering women worldwide through service and advocacy.
Sharon Cushman Memorial Scholarship Award
The Zonta Club of Royal Gorge Scholarship was established to encourage women over the age of 22, who are Fremont County residents, to further their education in order to enter careers and seek leadership positions in business, social policy-making, government, and volunteer organizations.
Applications are due November 19, 2021.
